What is Carboxytherapy?

It is an aesthetic treatment that consists in the application of CO2 (Carbon dioxide, a colorless gas). It is not considered a surgical procedure.

It is applied through CO2 injections subcutaneously or intradermally with a fine needle, it is a procedure that does not hurt and after application, a light massage is performed in the area to help distribute the CO2.

A carboxytherapy session can last between 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the area and treatment to be performed. Is important to talk with the specialist to determine how many sessions and how often you should go to see the expected results.

It is commonly applied to areas such as the face, neck, arms, abdomen, legs and buttocks.

What is Carboxytherapy for?

This procedure allows vasodilation and an improvement in blood circulation; When CO2 is applied, the cells of the body are oxygenated and it also facilitates toxins and fat elimination from the area. It also helps the production of serotonin, histamines and catecholamine.

The effect of carboxytherapy is visible almost immediately and gives the skin a smooth and much firmer appearance.

What to consider for Carboxytherapy?

What are the side effects?
